Ancrum Electronics, an electronic equipment repair centre based in Dundee and Brechin, is celebrating this week as the first Scottish company to be named as Samsung’s Premier Service Centre of the Year, recognising them as the “best of the best” for their outstanding performance and excellent customer service.
Competition for the title is fiercely battled out amongst approved Samsung Service Centres across the UK, and the winner is selected from 44 of the top performing organisations in the country.
Ancrum Electronics, named after Ancrum Street in Dundee, proved it had the digital edge and, after 30 years’ experience of meeting high customer expectations. Both of Ancrum’s service managers, David Urquhart and George Allardice, believe it is good old fashioned customer service that has been the real success story for the business.

Ancrum Electronics now has three repair centres in Dundee, Brechin and Glasgow and operates across Scotland. Founded in Dundee, it is the regional authorised service centre for warranty repairs and installation for Samsung as well as other leading manufacturers including Sony, LG, Toshiba, Panasonic, JVC, Sanyo, Bush, and Loewe Hitachi.
