Angus has played host to a group of tourism organisers from throughout the UK here on a fact finding mission.

A spokesman for Visit Scotland said that the group of 12 conference organisers and tour operators visited the county on a familiarisation trip.

The group, which included people from Ireland, London and the Midlands, was made up of event management, conference, travel and tour buyers who visited a variety of tourism businesses and venues.

“Business tourism is a huge sector, worth £1.9 billion to Scotland’s economy. Angus and Dundee have a lot to offer in terms of venues and accommodation.”
