Edzell said a fond farewell to two of its steadfast shop owners on Saturday.
Sandy and Margaret Robertson, who run the baker on the High Street, have shut up shop for good. Sandy, who took over the store from his father, has retired after a total of 49 years being a baker.
At a celebration on Saturday in the store, well-wishers were out in force to say goodbye to the pair.
One member of staff told them that not only were they great bosses, but great friends too.
Margaret said: “We plan to enjoy our time with our family now. Sandy will no doubt enjoy getting out on the golf course too.”
She added: “Thanks to everyone who came. And thank your for your support over the years, and for the gifts and cards. But most of all thank you to our wonderful staff.”
