Helping keep it local

BUOYED by the success of the loyalty shopping promotion run by the Brechin Advertiser in the run-up to Christmas, we have decided to go for another, this time in the countdown to Easter.

Shops seemed to appreciate the efforts our staff went to in a bid to ‘keep it local’ in the countdown to Christmas, with 18 outlets supporting the venture.

This time we have recruited 34 outlets in Brechin and Edzell, each contributing to the prize pot.

And the good news for shoppers is that, over the next month, we have £850 to give away in prizes.

How does the promotion work?

Each time a customer spends £10 in a participating outlet one of five boxes on a loyalty card will be marked.

The shopper keeps the card and, once all £10 boxes have been marked, shoppers complete their contact details on the card and hand it into the Brechin Advertiser office at 13 Swan Street, Brechin.

Each card is complete when £50 has been spent - whether it be in one shop or several.

And, throughout the course of the promotion, shoppers can complete as many cards as they wish.

Cards handed in by 12 noon on Fridays, March 23, 30 and April 6, will be in with a chance of winning a £100 shopping voucher.

And, on Monday, April 16, all cards - winners and losers - will go into the jackpot draw, with a first prize of a £350 voucher and a runners-up prize of a £200 to be won.

We trust this promotion in the countdown to Easter will be as, if not more successful than our Christmas campaign, helping keep spending local in these tough economic times, when, for many, every penny counts.

Full details of the shops in the Brechin and Edzell area participating in this latest promotion will appear on the back of the loyalty cards.

You can also get up to speed on all the outlets taking part by purchasing a copy of the Brechin Advertiser next week.

We will also be keeping our readers bang up to date with events in the area in the lead-up to Easter.
