Programme of workshops

As the seasons change, make sure your business doesn’t stay in the dark by taking advantage of Business Gateway’s upcoming autumn/winter workshop programme.

Specially designed to allow new and existing entrepreneurs to refresh their skills, gather information and pick up invaluable tips, the workshops will focus on the issues most relevant to local businesses.

In recent months business owners in Angus have been approaching their local Business Gateway office for help and advice on a variety of topics including advertising, promotion, book-keeping and financial management.

Expert business advisers believe that these are the main issues facing business owners in Angus and that they will continue to be the focus for the rest of this year.

Lorna Ritch, operations manager, Business Gateway said: “Every business, whether it is new or established, needs a helping hand at times.

“At Business Gateway we are constantly looking at ways to offer support and advice to local businesses and we tailor our workshop programme to meet their needs.

“The workshops allow entrepreneurs to learn or refresh certain skills, seek advice on a specific area and receive support on how to take their company forward.

“The events that run throughout October, November and December aim to provide business owners with up-to-date information and skills which could, in turn, help their companies flourish.”

The autumn programme of events will include:

Advertising and Promotion: Brechin Business Park, West Road, Brechin, Wednesday, October 19 from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm - gives you the knowledge and skills you need to produce an advertising plan for your business.

Book-keeping: Angus Centre for Enterprise, Keptie Road, Arbroath, Thursday, October 20 from 6 pm to 9 pm – equips you with the understanding of bookkeeping principles and demonstrates why keeping a financial record is important to the success of a business.
