Silver Award for Brechin based ALBA/SB Pools

Alba/SB Pools, based in Brechin, is celebrating after being recognised at the prestigious Swimming Pool and Allied Trades Association (SPATA) Awards, held last Sunday (February 3) at The De Vere Grand Hotel, Brighton.

The Silver Award was given to Alba/SB Pools for Commercial Pools category, sponsored by Lonza, in recognition of the company’s outstanding design and construction of the pool that was built to a very high standards and hugely impressed the client.

Stephen Booth from Alba/SB Pools commented: “We are absolutely delighted to have been recognised at the prestigious SPATA awards.

“There is huge competition for the categories and as a nationally recognised company I would like to acknowledge the dedication of everyone at Alba/SB Pools”.

The awards, organised by SPATA, who represent over 175 specialist pool companies across the UK, including some overseas members, highlights the achievements of the pool industry by showcasing the best examples of construction, design and innovation.

Chris Hayes, SPATA’s managing director, said: “This year proved to be incredibly popular, creating tough decisions for the judges with a shortlist of 123 entries across 21 categories.

“The excellent work displayed by our members, demonstrates the value of choosing a SPATA member to design, build and / or renovate your pool.”

SPATEX, the UK’s largest swimming pool and hot tub exhibition, held its 17th annual trade show at the Hilton Brighton Metropole Hotel over the weekend.

Hayes commented: “Once again the SPATA Awards were held alongside the SPATEX Show, which sees companies from across the UK gather to showcase their finest products and services.

“We have been delighted to welcome so many exhibitors and visitors to Brighton to promote themselves and network with colleagues”.
