It’s an increasingly busy time at Edzell Parish Church with a growing list of forthcoming events.
Saturday, May 26 sees a new Church café open, with hours between 10 am and 12 noon.
It’s an excellent way to spend some quality time with friends old and new, the ladies of the church will serve coffee, tea, tasty home-baking, including lovely scones and scrumptious cakes.
The charge is £2 and all proceeds go to church funds.
On Sunday June 3 there is a Diamond Jubilee Celebration in Edzell Church grounds from 12 noon to 3 pm. Billed as “bring a picnic to a picnic”, it promises to be a charming way to spend a couple of hours with tables and chairs being set out in the beautiful grounds, looking a picture now that there is a promise of summer, but for those who want a less formal approach bringing a picnic rug would be a good idea.
The Fellowship Group has organised a beautiful and delicious cake to be cut and enjoyed by all. There is an invitation for ladies who have a lovely hat to wear it in true garden party fashion.
