Charity fund-raisers Cheryl Birse and Irene Gillies have been collecting in aid of those affected by the typhoon which ripped through the Philippines.
The pair, who have collected for a variety of causes, raised £451.16 which will be given to the Red Cross. Irene said: “Cheryl and I would like to thank all who donated to the Typhoon Haiyan disaster. Once more the people of Brechin have given so generously.
“We would like to thank the Co-op for letting us stand at their door at such short notice and we appreciate their help and support. We are sorry that we had to share the day with the Scouts but I am sure they will understand the people of the Philippines have greater needs than ours at this time.”
