Brechin Leisure Centre held a successful charity ball on December 10 at the City Hall, which helped to raise almost £3000.
Lesley Hadden from the Leisure Centre said: “The charity ball was a huge success.
“I would just like to thank local businesses and our loyal customers and the community, and let everyone know they helped raise almost £3000.
“This money will be put into the fund for a specialised wheelchair for Mr Robert Carrie.
“I would like to express my thanks to all who came to the ball on Saturday evening. Without your support we wouldn’t have been able to raise such a great amount especially at this time of year!
“The community of Brechin has done us proud.
“I would also like to say a huge thanks to everyone who donated auction and raffle prizes, special thanks to Dick Robertson, Chris & Claire Curnin, The Glade, Alan Renilson, the Stables Bar, The Cutting Edge Ceilidh Band, Stephen Rennie of Brechin Golf Club, Dave Lindsay & David Wilson, Lammonds and Bruce Brymers.
“I have a fantastic group of guys working with me and no matter what I suggest, they always give 100%.
“Thanks again to Alana, Lorraine, Margaret, Helen, Ruari and Kelly, we couldn’t have done it better!
