Mountain Animal Sanctuary in Angus have benefited from a recent fund-raising event, held at Stracathro Hall in Inchabre.

Lesley Anderson, from Inchbare, organised the ‘Inchstock’ event to help the charity who have been hard hit by the prolonged cold weather.

It is the third event to be held at the hall.

Lesley volunteers at the Sanctuary so was well aware of the financial impact the winter has had.

Speaking about the event, Lesley commented: “Inchstock is an ‘open mic’ night at the hall and we have always been lucky and had some great music.

“The crowd enjoyed ‘The Brothers Reid, ‘The Rag and Bone Man’, ‘Tam fae Brechin’ and our regular Blues Band who travel over from the West.

“I would like to thank Bruce Brymers, the Stables, the Northern Hotel and Bel’s Butchers who donated to the raffle.”

The event was a great success, raising a total of £320.
