The organisation behind the switching on of Brechin’s Christmas lights by Chris Harvey, BRAVO Brechin, has put pen to paper to thank all involved.
They write: “BRAVO Brechin once again extend their thanks to all those who came long to support the annual Christmas in the City event.
“Special thanks go to Dalhousie Estates for donating the magnificent Christmas tree this year again:
“The Northern Hotel for sponsoring our celebrity guest, Chris Harvey:
“Staff at Brechin Town House Museum for all their help:
“The Caledonian Hotel for the lovely, warming soup:
“Ness Plant for the use for their telehandler:
“Fred Murray for providing the stage:
“Susan Brymer of Eclipse Salon for donating and wrapping all the Christmas gifts for Santa to hand out:
“And Santa and his elves for making it such a special day for the children.
“Thanks also to the many street entertainers, Maisondieu and Brechin High School choirs, stalls, crafters and cubs and the ladies from Gardner Memorial for the teas/coffees/soup which they provided.
“This year’s window competition, judged by Chris Harvey, was won by Mac Flooring.
“And finally, a big thanks to all of the volunteers who came along and gave their time on the day.
“Without you we could not put this event on. Thank you!
“Remember the ‘shop local and win’ voucher scheme runs until December 24.
“There will be a £50 prize for the winner.
