Brechin Community Cinema is gearing up for its highly anticipated December screening - which includes a sing-along ‘Frozen’ and the new Bond movie ‘Spectre’.
The screening takes place on December 6, at the City Hall on Swan Street. The sing-along ‘Frozen’ movie kicks off the day’s screenings, starting at 1pm. This is then followed by ‘Pan’ - a prequel to J. M. Barrie’s ‘Peter Pan’ - at 4pm. The final movie of the day will be ‘Spectre’ at 7pm.
Graham Donald, chair of Brechin Community Cinema, said: “To ensure we have no disappointed children the Sing- Along will be tickets only; available from Newsplus, St David Street Brechin and 50 Market Street Brechin. All tickets for this are priced at £6 .”
As with many of their cinema events, the group has organised special guests to add to the movie experience. Graham explained: “To enhance the day we will have Princess Elsa and Anna with Olaf attending for photographs and leading the sing-along - we are even expecting snow!”
In January, the cinema is set to screen ‘The Good Dinosaur, Star Wars (The Force Awakens)’ and ‘Sunset Song’ - with the possibility of enhanced experience for one or more of the screenings.
February’s screening falls on Valentine’s Day, and during the last two screenings organisers have given the audience the chance to select one of the movies. Graham revealed: “We have asked them to vote for a classic romantic film. As such we are pleased to announce that on our date night we will be screening the original ‘Breakfast at Tiffany’s’.”
The group is inviting audiences to put forward suggestions for future screenings slots. To see what is coming up or to get in touch with the group, visit www.filmmobilescotland.co.uk/venues/brechin or www.facebook.com/regalkingbrechin
