Coat of Arms

The recently reformed Brechin City and District Community Council received a copy of their official coat of arms from past member of the community council Audrey Mitchell. 'The coat of arms'Audrey stood on the community council for 29 years and for 26 years Audrey was treasurer for the group. She attended the recent meeting of the community council to hand over the coat of arms, a document she has had for 12 years.'For years the community council saved up for the document from the Court of the Lord Lyon, but, it was only after recieving donations from outwith the community council that it became possible to purchase a specific coat of arms for the community council.'Pictured is Audrey handing over the document to convenor of the group Grahame Lockhart with members of the community council looking on.
