Students at Angus College are putting the kettle on to support Macmillan’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning.

Those on the first year hospitality and catering will be doing their bit today (Wednesday) and tomorrow (Thursday) from 9.45 to 11am.

The students will be serving up tea, coffee and lots of tasty cakes in Restaurant 56 and all the money raised will go to Macmillan Cancer Support, helping to improve the lives of people affected by cancer.

Hospitality and catering tutor Lynn Potts said: “We welcome staff, students and the local community in joining us and purchasing coffee, tea and lots of cake, with all funds going directly to Macmillan Cancer Support.”

There are currently two million people living with cancer in the UK: by 2030 it is estimated there will be four million. Macmillan provides medical, emotional, practical and financial support and campaign for a better cancer care system.
