Members of the City of Brechin and District Community Council were given a police update at their meeting in the Damacre Centre on Tuesday, October 7.
Community Officer for Brechin, PC Billy Rattray, said: “There is nothing too significant to note.
“We are dealing with ongoing anti-social behaviour incidents in Montrose Street.
“We are also working alongside Angus Council in this matter.”
He also updated members that previous antisocial behaviour issues in Church Street had now been dealt with, largely due to actions taken by the police along with action by the local authority.
When community councillor Grahame Lockhart asked if the Montrose Street problems would take as long to resolve, PC Rattray said: “We are hopeful that it won’t.
We have put the necessary processes in place earlier and we are looking at putting measures in place that haven’t been used in Brechin before.”
