Andover Cooking Club has been learning all about the benefits of apples, and how to peel them.
The budding cooks have discovered how versatile a fruit it can be, with it used in all sorts of dishes including apple chutney, fruit pies and crumbles, raclette and apple jelly.
It’s a crumble that the cooks are prepping for, ahead of a special supper.
On Friday, September 25, the Cooking Club youngster, along with the Brechin Explorer’s Club, will host a Harvest Supper at Andover School at 6.30pm.
A spokesperson said: “.The group have been getting the apples ready for the fruit crumble to be served at the supper. All local primary children have received notes home about the event but if you require a place please call 01674 810289. Visitors will be made most welcome.”
