The Attic Youth Group set out to retain the status of football champions on Wednesday, when they challenged local police officers to a match.
Last year, the youngsters took on the police and won. However, although the youngsters tried their best, the police – despite having a much higher average age – ended the game as the winners with a score of 2-1.
Kay Robertson of the Attic thanked those who made the event a reality.
She said: “Thank you to the Hudsons and Brechin Boys for the use of the football equipment.
“Also thank you to Scott Leslie, who refereed the game.
“And a big thank you also goes to Angus Council for allowing us to use the pitch free of charge.”
Fun rivalry between the youngsters and police has already seen them compete in a variety of sporting competitions – including darts and pool contests.
