Angus, with 346 crimes per 10,000 people, has the 10th lowest crime rate in Scotland. The lowest crime rate is in Orkney.

Angus North and Mearns MSP, Nigel Don said, “Since the SNP came to power we have put more police on the streets and crime has fallen accordingly. The country is safer than it has been for many years, and we are fortunate in Angus North and Mearns to enjoy some of the lowest rates anywhere.

“While the statistics show big improvements, people are still committing crimes and their victims will see things from a very different angle.”
