Brechin police probe theft of tractor parts

Police are appealing for witnesses who may have information on a number of thefts which have occurred over the last week.

Sometime between Friday, August 26 and Saturday, September 3, 650 litres of heating fuel was stolen from a tank at a property near Stracathro.

A number of John Deere tractor parts, including grille panels, a nearside door, light cluster, left and right metal steps and rear view mirrors were stolen from two tractors within Netherton Tractors yard, Finavon by Forfar at sometime between 7 pm on Tuesday, September 6 and 11 am on Wednesday, September 7.

Police are appealing for any witnesses or for anyone with information to any of these crimes to contact them on 0300 111 2222.

A glass panel in a door of a flat in Nursery Park was smashed at about 11.45 pm on Sunday, September 11.

This week’s unclaimed property includes a Blackberry phone, two separate bank notes, a driving licence in the name of Turner, and a green and black bike.
