Brechin police seeking info on acts of vandalism

Brechin Police are looking for information regarding a number of vandalisms that have occurred in Brechin over the past week.

The rear nearside tyre of a Citroen motor car was slashed with an instrument whilst the car was parked and unattended in the parking bays in Albert Place at sometime between 6 pm on Friday, April 6 and 11 am on Saturday, April 7.

Four door panels of a Vauxhall Vectra motor car were scratched with a sharp instrument whilst the vehicle was parked and unattended outside the Victoria Bar, Eastmill Brae off Montrose Street at sometime between 2.30 pm and 11 pm on Thursday, April 12.

A number of unattended vehicles have been vandalised in Eastbank sometime between 5 pm on Friday, April 13 and 9 am on Sunday, April 15.

Although Police are following a line of enquiry, anyone who may have seen someone acting suspiciously in the area or who has any information should contact them as soon as possible

An implement was used to prise open a metal sliding door of a shed at Mains of Pitforthie at sometime between 5.30 pm on Thursday, April 5 and 8 am on Wednesday, April 11. Nothing was stolen. Police are keen to trace any witnesses to any of these crimes.

This week’s found property includes a bag of foodstuffs which was found in Clerk Street on Friday, a ladies patterned walking stick, a blue bike and a single house key.
