Car vandalised in Church Street

POLICE in Brechin are investigating an incident of vandalism which occurred between 5.30 pm on Saturday July 21 and 6.30 pm on Sunday, July 22.

a Citroen C4 motor car was vandalised when it was scratched along its full length with a sharp object whilst the vehicle was parked and unattended outside the Mechanics Institute in Church Street, Brechin.

Sometime around 1.40 am on Monday past, a padlock and bolt was forced off a door of premises to the rear of the Caledonian Hotel, Southesk Street, Brechin.

Some frozen food was stolen but subsequently recovered after a male, described as slim build, aged around 30yrs, 5’10” tall wearing a grey tammy (hat), bright blue tracksuit top, grey jogging bottoms and white trainers, made off from the area.
