Car vandalism

POLICE in Brechin are appealing for information on a number of acts of vandalism which occurred over the weekend.

Between 9.30 pm and 9.40 pm on Sunday, a silver Vauxhall Corsa had it’s rear windscreen smashed with a beer bottle whilst the vehicle was parked and unattended in Montrose Street, Brechin.

The vehicle was facing towards town. Sometime around 3.30am on Sunday, the front passenger window of a Renault Clio was smashed whilst this vehicle was parked and unattended in High Street, Brechin.

Sometime between, 11.30 pm on Saturday and 9 am on Sunday, a wing mirror of a silver Vauxhall Vectra motor car was damaged whilst the vehicle was parked in the High Street, Brechin.

And, sometime between 10 pm on Friday and 10 am on Saturday, the fibreglass front panels of an external electricity box and a fuse box near to the five-a-side pitch, Brechin Leisure Centre was damaged.

Police are asking for anyone with any information regarding any of the above crimes to contact them on 0300 111 2222, or contact any police officer at Brechin police office.

Found property: This week’s unclaimed property includes a silver child’s bike, a Nintendo games console, an engagement ring, a cork board notice board and a pair of spectacles in a case.

Also, a number of items found in the Co-operative Store over a period of months, which include, rings, a pen drive, keys, spectacles, soft toys, two handbags, a purse (no cash) and a child’s book. Please call at Brechin Police Office, Monday to Friday, 10 am to 2pm to view or collect.
