Festive vandalism

POLICE in Brechin are investigating a number of incidents of vandalism.

Sometime between 3.30 am and 4 am last Thursday a bottle was used to crack the windscreen of a Honda Accord motor car whilst it was parked and unattended in the car park between River Street and Nursery Park.

It is thought that the person responsible may have been attending a party nearby.

Sometime between December 21 and December 24 eight windows of a cottage under renovation at Stannochy, Brechin, on the Aberlemno Road, were smashed.

Sometime between 4 pm on Tuesday, December 27 and 10 am on Wednesday, December 28, the outer pane of a porch window was damaged at an address in Mountskip Road, Brechin.

It is believed that a group of young persons were in the area around 9 pm on the Tuesday and may or may not have information regarding this.

About 11.25 pm on Christmas Eve, the outer glazed unit of a side door at an address in Drumachlie Park was broken by an unknown person.

The occupants were in shock as a result and police are keen to trace the perpetrators.
