Brechin police are looking for information regarding a number of acts of criminal behaviour over the last week.
The polie are appealing for information after a small number of straw bales were set alight on open farmland at Maisondieu Farm between 8.50 pm and 9.15 pm on Friday night.
Two teenage boys – thought to be aged about 13-15 years-old were seen acting suspiciously near to the bales, which were at the corner of a field to the north of the A90 – a half-mile north west of Brechin.
Smoke was seen rising from the bales and Tayside Fire and Rescue were called to put out the flames.
The boys were last seen heading into woodland just north of Provost Buchan Road.
Anyone who saw these boys or who has information as to who they are should call Tayside Police on 0300 111 2222.
Two persons were seen near to the bales and subsequently within the wooded area at the north of Provost Buchan Road, Brechin.
Police are asking anyone (who has not already been spoken to) who has information, to contact them.
Fly tipping has been problematic across the area and incidents should be reported at the time they are ongoing.
