Incidents of vandalism

POLICE in Brechin are investigating a number of incidents of vandalism.

Between 11.30 pm and 11.45 pm on Saturday, August 11, the outer pane of a double glazed living room window of a flat in Montrose Street, Brechin was smashed by an unknown object.

Sometime between 4.30 pm on Friday, August 10 and 7 am on Monday, August 13, 2012, a 3’ x 3’ window at the front entrance to Brechin High School was found to have been smashed.

Sometime over the weekend of August 4/5, a window at City Gents Barbours in Clerk Street, Brechin had a window cracked and damaged.

Police are appealing for witnesses or for anyone with any information to contact them on 0300 111 2222 or call at Brechin Police Office.

In Forfar, police are seeking to trace Andrew George Kidd, aged 48 years, who is currently missing from his home address in the town.

He has not been in contact with his family since Saturday.

It is believed that he may have travelled to the Aberdeen area.

He is described as 5foot 10 inches tall, is of stocky build and has greying hair.

When last seen he was wearing a brown checked jacket, blue jeans and black shoes.

Found property: Brechin police office is in possession of the following unclaimed items which have been handed in over the last month:-

A ladies ring, a bank note, a mobile phone, a pair of spectacles in a brown case, a single house key on a broken fob, another loose key, and a ladies handbag.
