Incidents of vandalism in Brechin

POLICE in Brechin are investigating yet more vandalism incidents.

Between 3.40 am and 4 am on Sunday a living room window was smashed at an address in Middleton Park, Brechin.

About 1 am on Saturday, a silver VW Golf had its front windscreen smashed whilst the vehicle was parked and unattended opposite the Arty Party Shop, High Street, Brechin.

It is believed that there was a fight near to this locus around the time which may be connected.

Two males were seen running off towards Union Street following a loud bang.

Police are anxious to trace any witnesses to these events or for anyone with any information to contact them as soon as possible on 0300 111 2222.

Between 7.30 pm on Wednesday, February 2 and 11.30 am on Thursday, February 3, a rear window measuring two feet by two feet was cracked at the Sheltered Housing Complex in Newington Gardens, Brechin.

Between 2.30 pm and 4 pm on Sunday, January 30, a white plastic gas meter box which was attached to the outside of a house in Nursery lane was completely damaged having been kicked off the wall and left lying in pieces on the pavement.

Tayside Police would like to thank members of the public for their assistance with information regarding the incident whereby a bus was damaged on the A90 by someone throwing something from the flyover. A male youth has been reported for this and other related offences in the area.
