Information sought after dog attack

Police Scotland officers in Brechin are appealing for witnesses following a dog attack in Brechin yesterday afternoon.

A 68-year-old man was attacked near garages at Viewbank in Brechin at around 2 p.m.

He had been walking his black and tan coloured cocker spaniel in the Public Park, when he was attacked by four brindle coloured Staffordshire Bull Terriers.

These dogs were in the company of a woman described as being in her early 50’s, of thin build and with gray or brown untidy hair. The man and his dog sustained injuries as a result of this attack and the female subsequently left the scene in a car.

A similar incident occurred in Montrose on February 3, and it is possible that these incidents are linked.

Anyone who has information regarding this should contact Police Scotland on 101 or speak to any officer.
