Police appeal after injury to cats

At some point between the hours of 8.20am and 5pm on Thursday, August 16, two cats were found to be injured by their owner.

Both had been shot with a BB gun and one cat had to have an operation in order to remove the pellet from its shoulder.

Sometime between 11.30pm on Saturday, August 18, and 7am on Sunday, August 19, a ground floor flat in Nursery Park was broken into.

A wallet, money, keys and tobacco were stolen.

Police are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen anyone acting suspiciously overnight at the time.

Police are appealing for witnesses or for anyone with any information to contact them either at the Police Office or by calling 0300 111 2222.

The following unclaimed property has been handed in over the last two weeks:-

Three rings, one of them a gents ring, a baby doll, two pairs of spectacles in hard bodied cases, two banknotes and two separate keys.
