Police probe theft from local hotel

POLICE in Brechin are investigating a theft from a local hotel.

Sometime between 11 pm on Sunday, May 13 and 9 am on Monday, May 14, a sneak in theft occurred whereby a number of second class stamps and a petty cash tin with the contents were stolen from the reception area of The Northern Hotel, Brechin.

There has also been an incident of vandalism.

About 1 am on Wednesday, May 16, the occupier of a house in Wards Road was awakened by a loud bang.

It was subsequently discovered that damage had been caused to the two outer panes of a glazed door at the property.

Police are appealing for witnesses or for anyone with any information to contact them.
