Suspicious incident

POLICE in Brechin are appealing for any witnesses regarding an incident which took place near to the cemetery in Brechin on Saturday.

It was just after 1 pm on that day when a drunk male described as being in his late thirties to forties with dark hair with slight greying wearing a black track suit trousers and a dark top possibly matching the track suit trousers followed and approached a lone female and tried to grab her.

Also, overnight on Tuesday, January 25 into Wednesday, January 26, a garage was broken into in the Farnell area outside Brechin.

A Honda CRF 450R moto cross bike stolen.

Police are appealing for anyone with information, including having been offered it for sale or seeing it advertised for sale, to contact Tayside Police on 0300 111 2222.

Between 7 pm on Wednesday, January 26 and 10 am on Thursday, January 27 person(s) unknown approached a secure and unattended Silver Ford Fusion motor vehicle.

Vehicle was parked up secure and unattended outside owner’s home address in Middleton Park, Brechin.

Using an unknown implement damage was committed to the rear wing and the rear passenger door of the vehicle.

Sometime between 11 pm on Saturday, January 22 and midnight on Sunday, January 23 the front left hand sash window and the top and bottom panes were damaged to a property in Montrose Street.

Door to door enquiries have so far proved negative.
