Theft from animal charity

Tayside Police is investigating a break-in to the Mountains Animal Sanctuary, Glen Ogil by Kirriemuir sometime between 9.30 p.m., on Sunday, December 9 and 7.15 a.m., on Monday, December 10.

A wooden carving of a horse which measures approximately three and half feet was stolen.

The carving took centre stage in the visitor centre and was used every year to commemorate the six million horses that perished during the First World War.

Thieves made off with a quantity of money, along with goods and Festive merchandise from the visitor centre.
