Theft of tools

Brechin Police are appealing for information about a number of thefts that have occurred over the last week.

The front door os a flat in a block at Nursery Park was forced and entry was gained at sometime between 6.30 pm and 8 pm on Saturday, September 17.

Although nothing appears to have been stolen at this time Police are still appealing for any witnesses to contact them.

A large garden ornament was stolen from a garden in Duriehill Road, Edzell at sometime between Friday, September 9 and 3 pm on Monday, September 12.

The ornament is a concrete fox with two cubs, about one foot in height, coloured and very heavy.

This item is of sentimental value and the owners are keen to have it returned.

Edzell residents are asked to check their gardens in case this item has been left in their garden or alternatively, if anyone has any information which may be of use they should contact Tayside Police on 0300 111 2222.

A portacabin within Montreathmont Woods was broken into and a rivot gun, wire cutter and a roll of wire were was stolen from it at sometime between Monday, September 12 and thursday, September 13.

A scrap sink, window frame and cooker were stolen from outside a cottage off the A90 at Finavon, between Brechin and Forfar at sometime between 7.30 am and 4.30 pm on Tuesday, September 13.

Again police are asking for any witnesses or anyone with any information to call them.

This week’s found property includes the following:- a green and black bike and a ladies thin gold ring which have not been claimed.
