Andover Primary School will be holding their second annual Andover Community Gala on Saturday (September 15).

The first gala, held last year, raised almost £2,000 and it is hoped that this year’s event will be just as successful.

This year the school have organised the extravaganza to take place at the school from 12 noon to 4pm when there will be, amongst other things, a falconry display with the opportunity for all the children to see and hold the birds and various craft activities.

Tayside Fire and Rescue will be there, face painting, a fancy dress competition, bouncy castles, a pet show, lucky programme, raffle, bottle stall, bric-a-brac, wet sponges, cake and candy and refreshments.

One of the stalls on the day will include guess the weight of the giant tortoise, which visited Andover last week, and will also be on hand on the day.

During the afternoon Radio North Angus will be compering the event which promises to be lots of fun for children and adults.

If the weather is unfavourable the event will be held in the school.

And organisers are looking for helpers to set up, man stalls and clear up after the event.

For further information or if you have any donations for the stalls contact Andover Primary School, or Alison Reid on 07840928583.
