Mrs Morris Bids Farewell.''On the last day of term, the pupils of Edzell and Stracathro primary schools gathered together to take part in a very special performance. The event was organised to mark the retiral of thr headteacher of both schools, Mrs Valerie Morris, who leaves after over 37 years in serivce.'After graduating in 1974, Mrs Morris began her teaching career in Kinloch Primary in Carnoustie. She was promoted to the post of assistant headteacher nine years later at Timmergreens Primary in Arbroath and in1995 was appointed headteacher at Edzell Primary. Mrs Morris has been headteacher of both Edzell and Stracathro shools for over two years.'The pupils entertained Mrs Morris by taking her an a trip down memory lane recalling some of the news, music and personal events that took place during the course of her teaching career which spanned four decades. Gifts, flowers and cards were presented by staff, pupils and parents. Mrs Morris is now looking forward to having more time to spend travelling, reading
