A student from Brechin represented Tayside in the Scottish track and field championship for people with Disability at Grangemouth Stadium.

Kirstin Weir was selected to take part along side fellow Angus College students, Gail Gibb (By Laurencekirk), Craig Morrison (Forfar), Tina Mitchell, Conar Hamilton, Kenny Mitchell, Alistair Kidd (All Arbroath) and Ryan Scott-Wallace (Letham), following their success whilst representing Angus College at the Tayside championships in May.

Athletes competed in events including the long jump, shot putt, 100m and 200m races.

In total the Angus students received one gold, three silver and two bronze medals.

The group members were accompanied by supported education lecturers Amanda Lyons and Craig Strachan, who also coached the students throughout the last year.
