D&A College staff are looking forward to welcoming visitors from Brechin and the surrounding area to the Arbroath Campus on Wednesday, February 4, for an Open Day in the Esk Building.
Expert advice on college courses is on offer between 2 and 7 p.m.
Lecturers, from a range of disciplines, will be on hand with information on the vast choice of full- and part-time courses delivered at D&A College – all aimed at helping successful students get into the workplace or progress to a university course.
A college spokesperson said: “D&A College can offer something for everyone – from people who aren’t involved in learning and are perhaps unsure how to get started, to people who are seeking a qualification to return to work or use a college course as a stepping stone to university.”
There will also be advice on offer in terms of how to finance coming to college, as well as information on how to access help with travel costs and childcare where applicable.
People in receipt of benefit can find out about the fee waiver scheme which offers courses absolutely free of charge to those who are eligible.
Visitors from Brechin and surrounding area will also have the chance to see the fantastic facilities on offer at the Keptie Road site and the opportunity to enrol on line with staff on had to help with the process.
Subjects on offer at Arbroath Campus include: access and transition to HE (Highers and Nationals), accounting, administration and information technology, agriculture and horticulture, animal care, art and design, care and playwork, computing and creative, media, construction and technology, engineering, ESOL, languages and TEFL, hairdressing and beauty therapy, hospitality, professional cookery, social science, sport and fitness, supported education.
