Brechin’s TSB bank branch is helping local schools get match ready by donating footballs.
The move is part of a nationwide giveaway to reward schools affiliated to the Scottish School’s FA, and over 300 schools are set to receive five FIFA approved match balls.
Brechin High School received their match balls last week, with Mrs Gray accepting the balls from Alison Thomson from TSB’s Brechin Branch.
Alison said: “We are delighted to present Brechin High School with their new footballs. Good quality equipment is vital to the ongoing enjoyment of sport and we hope our match balls can play a small part in nurturing young footballing talent in communities across Scotland.”
A spokesperson for TSB added: “The match ball giveaway is just one of the ways that TSB is helping schools in its role as partner of the Scottish School’s Football Association. The bank already operates a travel fund offering funding support to schools competing in TSB competitions. New playing kits are also provided to all competition finals, as are official team buses for the schools.”
