Importance of eating a balanced diet highlighted

Children from Andover Primary School were visited by members of Quality Meat Scotland (QMS) recently where children got the opportunity to learn about the importance of eating a balanced diet including protein and iron rich foods such as red meat and the benefits of cooking and eating fresh natural produce.

The educational session also included a cookery demonstration from chef Steven Craik which emphasised the control needed over the use of salt and sugar.
