Lathallan school has announced a new board chaiman.
Professor Sir Graeme Catto, Emeritus Professor of Medicine at the University of Aberdeen and president of the College of Medicine has been formerly unveiled as the new chairman.
Sir Graeme brings with him a wealth of experience from his previous posts that have included President of the General Medical Council, Chief Scientist to NHS Scotland, Vice-Principal of King’s College London and Chairman of Robert Gordon’s College.
Headmaster Richard Toley said, “We are all delighted that Sir Graeme has chosen to join us and shares our school vision of individually focused education that enables pupils, day and boarding, to achieve their full potential. I look forward to working closely with Sir Graeme on future school projects and can already sense the anticipation amongst our school community that his appointment has caused.”
Sir Graeme commented on his appointment, “Lathallan School provides really excellent and exciting educational opportunities.
“I am delighted to be joining both the Board and the wider school community. I very much look forward to working with my Board colleagues, pupils, staff and parents.”
Lathallan School Scholarship Awards for S5 and S6 will be held on February 27.
