Pupils from Maisondieu Primary School came out on top in the Brechin heat of the Rotary District 1010 Primary School quiz.
Held at Brechin High School, primary schools from the local area faced off against each other, with the usual high level of competition.
Organisers of the quiz said teams from the smaller schools did well, but ultimately it was the Maisondieu team of Arran Murray, Stuart Souter, Alix Morland and Leah Wood that finished as worthy winners.
Rotary District 1010 has run a Primary School quiz for over 20 years, and Maisondieu as the winners of this local heat go on to the Angus and Mearns zone final, which will be held in Carnoustie in May.
Brechin Rotary club quizmaster Jack Cavanagh said: “The club would like to thank the High School for providing such an excellent venue. We feel sure that Maisondieu can go forward and do well in the next stages.”
