Primary one pupils at Maisondieu Primary enjoyed a Scots day on Friday, January 27, writes the Maisondieu Pupil Press Team.

The children, dressed in tartan, tucked into the traditional dish of haggis, neeps (donated by Mrs Myles) and tatties!

Piper, Ian and drummer, Colin from the Brechin Pipe Band entertained the children with some Scottish tunes.

The pupils, who had made their own tartan ties and bunting, enjoyed taking part in Scottish dancing and singing Scottish songs.

Prior to the day, the primary one children recited several Scottish poems and songs, along with primary two and three pupils, for the rest of the school.

Their performances were of an outstanding standard.
