The Maisondieu Primary School relay teams, consisting of boys and girls from primary six and seven, attended Arbroath Academy on the May 21, when they competed against primary schools from across Angus in a relay competition (writes the Maisondieu pupil press team).
They had a thoroughly enjoyable and successful time.
The teams were very delighted with their results. The Maisondieu girls finished in fourth place, with the boys finishing in sixth place.
Sprints for boys and girls were also held.
The Maisondieu pupils did extremely well, with Ellie McGaw finishing in second place, and Douglas Crowe finishing in firstst place.
Both Ellie and Douglas went on to represent Angus at the Scottish relay championships, held in Grangemouth on Saturday June 4 when they both performed extremely well, with the Angus boys’ team scooping up bronze!
The Angus girls’ team finished in fifth place. The staff and pupils at Maisondieu are very proud of their pupils’ achievements.
