Primary two pupils at Maisondieu primary school designed their own sausage recipe. Gavin Brymer from Brymers Butchers visited the class to help with the process. The three winning sausage recipes from the children were blueberry, strawberry and smarties and banana and jelly bean. After tasting the sausages, a vote was taken in class to decide the winning sausage, with banana and jelly bean came out tops.

The Maisondieu Sausage launched at Brymer’s on March 17 and quickly sold out. Mr Brymer assured pupils that there would be more made. A school spokesperson said: “We would like to take this opportunity to thank Mr Brymer for all his support and for the goodies that he brought the children.”
