Maisondieu Primary School triumphed at the Brechin heat of Rotary District 1010 Primary School Quiz held at Brechin High School this week.

There was the usual high level of competition between the local primary schools.

The teams from the smaller schools did well, but Maisondieu Primary finished as worthy winners.

Rotary District 1010 has run a Primary School quiz for many years, and Maisondieu Primary, as the winners of this local heat, go on to the Angus and Mearns zone final, which will be held for the first time at Brechin High School in May.

David Robinson, Brechin Rotary club secretary performed the duties of quizmaster.

Speaking after the event, he said: “The club would like to thank the High School for providing such an excellent venue. We feel sure that Maisondieu can go forward and do well in the next stages.”
