Poetry competition at Maisondieu Primary

Pupils at Brechin’s Maisondieu Primary School recently held their annual Scottish poetry recital competition.

The competition was judged by Nick Bradford and Martin Smith.

The overall winner in the primary 3-5 category was Lucy Crabb, with Mattea Chalmers the runner up.

The overall winner in the primary 6-7 category was Calum Milne with Aimee Mackie the runner-up.

The individual class winners and runner-ups were as follows:-

P3 - 1, Mattea Chalmers; 2=, Sinead McLean and Cerys Ross.

P4 - 1, Findlay Edwards; 2=, Connor Hutcheon and Caitlyn Hill.

P5 - 1, Lucy Crabb; 2, Bevin McCabe.

P6 - 1, Aimee Mackie; 2, Cortney Sutherland.

P7 – 1, Calum Milne; 2, Hayley Fraser.
