Derry Cameron, an S4 pupil at Brechin High School, has discussed the latest charity events at the school.

Derry writes: “Over the past few weeks pupils in form classes throughout Brechin High School have been donating money and buying gifts for Cash for Kids’ Mission Christmas appeal. The charity distribute gifts to children throughout the North East who wouldn’t otherwise receive a gift on Christmas Day.

“Evelyn Connell, Language Teacher and one of the coordinators of the school’s charity committee, said: ‘Form classes pulled out all the stops and we were able to donate around 50 gifts.’

“The school’s charity group also organised a Christmas jumper day on the last Friday of term, which raised £360.07 for Save The Children. Thank you to all pupils, friends and families who supported these fund-raising ventures.”
