The Brechin High School Chamber Ensemble is working hard to raise funds for a forthcoming trip to Paris with Music and Art pupils from Brechin High School.

The ensemble will be entertaining shoppers to raise money for their trip whilst busking in the Overgate Centre in Dundee next week.

They have previously busked to raise funds for Marie Curie, the Shoebox collection and Sick Kids’ charities.

Shortly after their visit to Dundee, they will be performing their Christmas Concert at Gardner’s Memorial.

This concert has become a regular feature in their annual calendar for some time now.

Hazel Judge, Upper Strings Instructor of Angus Council, who works with the ensemble, said: “We are looking forward to our forthcoming concert and hope to put our audience in the Christmas spirit!

“The concert will include both traditional and light, well-known Christmas music, and several singers within the ensemble will perform solos.”

The ensemble is familiar with the setting of Gardner’s Memorial, having played there at various occasions over the years, since the ensemble was first established in 2004.

Their concert is on Monday (December 15), commencing at 7 p.m. Entry is £4, pay at door. All are welcome.
