A recent inspection at Brechin High School has found that staff are working hard to improve the learning and attainment of pupils.
An Education Scotland follow up report issued today (29 April), after the Brechin Advertiser went to print, found that the majority of young people enjoy school and have positive relationships with their teachers.
The report adds: “The recently-appointed head teacher has clearly identified areas of strength in the school’s work and is already leading areas for improvement.
“Along with his senior management team, he has prepared a robust action plan for improvement.
“The school has made good use of recent intensive support from the local authority. Parents, staff and young people are very optimistic that the school now has the capacity to begin to improve.”
