Andover Primary School held their Community Gala on Saturday which was a huge success. Blessed with fabulous sunshine and good support from the community, it raised £2,500.

A big thank-you was extended to everyone who supported the event by coming along, providing prizes and assisting on the stalls.

Gala winners were as follows:

Pet show: Waggiest tail - 1, Leah McLean; 2, Kyle and Kieran Walker; 3, Isabella Mimiec. Good condition (dogs) - 1, Roan Harrison; 2, Niamh Coutts; 3, Ewan Fowlie. Best puppy - Zoe Ewen. Best condition - Bryony Adam – guinea pig. Best child handler - 1, Louise Scott, rabbit; 2, Kayleigh Cameron, dog; 3, Arron and Rebekah Angus.

Most unusual pet - 1, Alex Ewen – Poland frazzle chickens; 2, Arron Jackson – two cockatiels; 3, Dylan Brady – hamster. Best tricks (all dogs) - 1, Declan Hay; 2, Kaydie McLean; 3, Ayden Fairlie. Treasure island - Morgan Jamieson. Guess weight of tortoise – Sean Church (drawn from hat – nearest 15kg).

Lucky programme – No. 54 (unclaimed). Fancy Dress - 1, Chloe Craig; 2, Cameron Ritchie.
