Maisondieu celebrated the National Bard’s birthday with their Scots Nicht concert.
Throughout the evening, Primary five, six and seven pupils entertained all with a variety of acts including: ‘A Burns Supper Explained’, The Ballad and Re-enactment of, ‘The Bonnie Lass o’ Fyvie o’’ and an entertaining performance of, ‘Tam O’ Shanter’s Big Night Oot!’
In addition, a wide array of pupils performed Scottish Country dances, recited poetry, played musical instruments, which included the violin, viola, cello, snare drum and piano.
Both senior and junior choirs also performed a range of Scottish songs.
Over 200 tickets were sold to parents and friends of the school for the evening performance and over 50 parents attended the afternoon performance.
Thanks goes to all parents and staff who supported this event and to Michael Gillies the support he gives the senior choir.
